Spring is here and it's out with the old ...

As we look toward the spring days ahead, we may feel that we are weighted down by all that winter has left behind.
As we think of heavy blankets or coats that are necessary for keeping out the winter chill, we can use those as a metaphor for many things in our life. Whether it's the pile of bills lying on your kitchen counter, the pile of shoes in your closet, the pile of newspapers beside your bed, the pile of cosmetics under your bathroom sink, or some other area that needs to be organized, as the days move on it becomes harder to see those cluttered areas in your life. We easily pass them by as if they were a blanketed "throw" on the back of our sofa or a heavy winter coat crowding out the spring clothes in our closet. But, spring is the perfect time of year to see those areas with "new eyes." It is the perfect time to bring freshness and order to those areas in our life. Just get in there and get to it, and soon your home will be sparkling like the dew on the first rose of the season.

Let the light shine on those creepy corners of your life that need to be dealt with. (I know I have mine, and I can't wait to deal with them!) For inspiration, there are websites galore dedicated to helping us get organized. There are stores dedicated to helping us get organized.
And, there are even people who make their living helping us get organized. But, if you're at all like I am, your local superstore has a vast array of plastic containers and shelving that will at least help you get started. Don't be daunted by the task, just get in there and take one thing at a time. Before you know it, your life will be more organized, and you will feel as if you have finally gotten that heavy winter blanket off your back!
