Welcome to my garden!
Charm & Grace
Thank you, Cielo, of The House In Roses, for hosting this wonderful garden party extravaganza!
Welcome to my home! Please come in…
I have put the kettle on so that we can have tea as we wander through the garden.
…and decorated my kitchen counter with some of the garden’s bounty.
…and put this lovely little bouquet of things from my garden on my kitchen table… the beautiful Tropicana orange/coral rose is front and center, along with yellow coreopsis wildflowers and Gypsy roses.
This is one of the first things to bloom in my yard in spring, along with my white irises… it’s a Lady Banks rose.
Not too long after Lady Banks blooms, the lovely climbing Peace rose (yellow tinged with pink) is soon to follow.
And then there were the fabulous Oak Leaf hydrangeas that simply outdid themselves this year!
The glads are just delightful in peaches and pinks with their ruffled skirts!
Then there’s my rose garden … from front to back there’s Tropicana (coral/orange), Tiffany (pink w/ yellow center), and Gypsy (ruffled red).
White asters…
And is there a more generous plant than a daylily? They require so little and give so much!
And lastly we have the first gardenia bloom of the season. These, of course, cannot be left on the bush, but must be brought indoors in order to enjoy the wonderful aroma.
And one last bouquet from the goodness of my garden…
Thank you so much for touring my garden. Please come again soon!

A few months ago I purchased my first Lady Banks rose. It too is white. I so enjoyed your lovely flowers! I am thankful to Cielo to allow me to be part of her garden tour, and to meet so many wonderful new people to keep up with!

Hi,
I was traveling through blog land and happened upon your blog. Your garden is absolutely beautiful! I love Lillies so much, and your right, they give so much with hardly any effort on our part.

My heart skipped a beat at the site of that gorgeous Calla Lily. Oh my, am I envious. We absolutely cannot grow them in the heat of Central Texas. Our soil is too alkaline and our spring is too short. I’ve tried when I lived in Dallas and it was iffy even there. You needed to have huge oaks for the dappled shade in order to grow them. I have been consoled w/my gorgeous “pink” hydrangeas. I have them on the n. side and they manage quite nicely. Your garden is beautiful and thank you for sharing.

Such lovely flowers. I’m jealous of your gardenia - one of my favourite flowers and impossible to grow up here. But I’ll enjoy yours and imagine the fragrance.
Thanks for sharing all the beauty.

Thanks for sharing your garden. The gardenias remind me of my mom…(she’s in the Philippines). I can have them where I live but it’s just too much work… you have to pot them and bring them inside during the winter.
I’ll visit often.
Hugs,
Connie
