All things reborn, even computers …and would you pray for my friend?
Charm & Grace
When last we visited, I mentioned that my computer had not come back to life. But in answer to many prayers (and with the help of a precious friend), appropriately enough for spring, the lovely thing has sprung back to life, and I was able to rescue and back up all my documents that I had been without for these few weeks. Hallelujah! We were able to boot from my Windows XP CD and run a complete scan with recovery and repair (chkdsk /r for you techno geeks out there). This took almost 12 hours, but it did the trick and I seem to be fully operational again. I am not, however, depending on that computer for all my needs at this point, as it may be on its last leg. But I am very thankful to have rescued the files I needed. Thanks to those of you who prayed, and now I have a much more serious prayer request.
I have a friend who is not yet 40, who has 4 beautiful children ranging in age from 5 to 14, and who is a pastor’s wife. She has one of the most beautiful spirits of anyone I have ever known. This week she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a complete shock. I won’t reveal her name, as I have not asked her permission to share it, but would you please lift her up in prayer that the Lord would bring complete healing. Would you please pray for her precious family as she goes through surgery and treatments. I pray that the Lord will bring Himself much glory through this.

Thank you for your visit to my little blog. Hope that you’ll return.
I have asked the Lord to bless your pastor’s wife in a special way and that she will be restored to perfect health. (My own pastor’s wife went through this three years ago. She’s a sweet spirit, too, and she’s doing beautifully well today.)

Hi Christi, I wish your friend all the best. Hopefully this has all been caught early. Just goes to show, we can never take things like this for granted. We have to have mamograms and keeps checking…it really does always pay to be vigilant.

Wow, you are making me cringe at not having gone for a monogram. So important to catch these things as it can happen to anyone, even the most saintly people like your dear pastor’s wife. I will definitely pray for this dear woman and the road ahead. Thank you for sharing the need.

You all are the sweetest, dearest internet friends! Thank you so much for your prayers. She came through surgery well, but with lots of nausea. They believe the cancer was not invasive, but contained in the one lump they removed. Now we are waiting to hear from the biopsy of the lymph nodes. Still praying for complete! healing.

Hi Christi,
Thanks for your comment on my blog. About the artwork - I like changing things around. The sunflower painting is one done by my very talented sister-in-law. The other two are of Ecuador, one a print and the street scene an original.

Dear Christi, I am praying for your friend. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 months after our Mama passed away. There’s no good time to be told that news, but that was an especially hard time for us. God was with her (us) all the way. He gave us strength, courage, and peace when we thought it wasn’t possible and will do the same for your friend and her family.
